Entries are now open for the 2025 RSPBA Oceania Solo Drumming Championships at Rangi Ruru Girls School in Christchurch.
Events for the 2025 event include:
- The RSPBA Oceania Adult Snare MSR*;
- The RSPBA Oceania Juvenile 5 Snare Championship;
- The RSPBA Oceania Juvenile 4 Snare Championship;
- The RSPBA Oceania Juvenile 3 Snare Championship;
- The RSPBA Oceania Juvenile 2 Snare Championship; and
- The RSPBA Oceania Juvenile 1 Snare Championship.
*The top four place-getters in the Adult Snare MSR automatically qualify for the 2025 RSPBA World Solo Drumming Championships Semi-Final.
In addition, there is a separate Adult Snare Hornpipe & Jig event. The Wayne Hobbs trophy for NZ Open Solo Drumming champion will be awarded to the aggregate winner of the RSPBA Oceania Adult Snare MSR and Adult Snare Hornpipe & Jig events.

The RSPBA require tunes from the RSPBA Approved List to be played in the Juvenile 1 and Juvenile 2 events. The list of approved tunes can be found here:
