Steven Shedden (Hawthorn Pipe Band) was the inaugural winner of the RSPBA Oceania Adult Solo Drumming Championship held at St Andrew’s College in Christchurch.

Scott Birrell (Canterbury Caledonian Society’s Pipe Band) placed second. Both Steven and Scott qualify for the RSPBA World Solo Drumming Semi Final to be held in Glasgow in October 2024.

Connor Higgs (Canterbury Caledonian Society’s Pipe Band) won the Juvenile Section 5 competition, with Peter Devery placing second.

Paul Brown (Scotland) and Ross Levy (New Zealand) judged both events.
