Lindisfarne College has had a Pipe Band since its inception in 1955. The Pipes and Drums are an integral part of the Arts Programme at the College. The boys are taught the Pipes and Drums within the College by music tutors.
The Band participates regularly at Pipe Band Competitions at both Provincial and at National level. Members of the Band are current members of the School.
Over the years a number of the boys have gone on to play at a high level with Grade 1 Bands, and some have competed in Scotland at the World Pipe Band Championships.
