The band – affectionately referred to as “A&D” has a proud history and tradition of musical excellence at a top-level over many years.
The band is based in the beautiful city of Auckland on the magnificent Waitemata Harbour and draws its membership from all over the city and outer suburbs, as well as other New Zealand provinces.
“A&D” has maintained its position as the premier grade 1 pipe band in the Northern Region for over fifty years, maintaining a philosophy of achievement, excellence and enjoyment, and has now expanded to accommodate more players by forming a #2 band, which in 2022, was given Grade 3 status.
