Canterbury Caledonian Society were crowned Grade One Champions at the 2026 New Zealand Pipe Band Championships, held in Inglewood on the 20th and 21st of March. Canterbury took a clean sweep of the MSR, Medley, Drumming, Ensemble and Bass and Tenor prizes.

Auckland & District were the runners up. Australian band Emmanuel College Highlanders at the University of Queensland took out Grade Two, with St Andrew’s College coming second in a close contest. Emmanuel College also won the drumming. St Andrew’s College A won the Juvenile event for the fifth year in a row, and their 20th Juvenile title overall.

  • Grade Three: Canterbury Caledonian Society Pipe Band
  • Grade Four A: City of Rotorua Highland Pipe Band
  • Grade Four B: Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band
